Some thoughts after finishing the whole walk.
The best bits - Some of the South West Coast Path, the Pennine Way, and the West Highland Way.
The very best day - High Force to Dufton by way of the Tees Valley and over High Cup Nick.
The worst bit - Scotland North of Helmsdale.
No blisters. Only a couple of cramp attacks. One new hip (though the old one stood up pretty well for the first three years)
Best accommodation - Alston; worst - Llanymynech.
Hates - litter (increase penalties). Windfarms (do they really make sense?) Inconsiderate drivers.
Real admiration for the half-dozen or so people I met who were doing it all in one go.
Lessons learned - good kit costs more, but is well worth while. Boots in particular.
